CTI: Transforming Waste Into Resources
Smart recycling solutions for used engine oil, tires, and plastics that create value while protecting our environment.

Why Recycling Engine Oil, Tires, and Plastics Matters More Than Ever
The Opportunity
What many see as waste, we see as untapped potential. Used engine oil can be refined into high-quality lubricants, old tires can become rubber products and fuel alternatives, and plastic waste transforms into PET flakes for new manufacturing.
At CTI, we're pioneering recycling technologies that turn environmental challenges into economic opportunities. Our processes not only reduce waste but create valuable materials that support sustainable manufacturing across multiple industries.
The Growing Crisis
Every year, millions of gallons of used engine oil are improperly disposed of, contaminating soil and water sources. Meanwhile, tire waste continues to pile up in landfills, and plastic pollution threatens marine ecosystems worldwide.
Traditional waste management approaches are no longer sufficient. We need innovative recycling solutions that transform these problematic materials into valuable resources, creating a circular economy that benefits both business and the environment.
The Environmental Impact: By the Numbers
290M
Tires Discarded Annually
In the US alone, creating massive waste management challenges
1.3B
Gallons of Used Oil
Generated each year, with potential for complete recycling
35M
Tons of Plastic Waste
Annual production that could be converted to valuable PET flakes
2,000
Years to Decompose
Time needed for tires to break down naturally in landfills
These staggering numbers represent both the scale of our environmental challenge and the immense opportunity for recycling innovation. Every gallon of oil recycled, every tire processed, and every ton of plastic converted to PET flakes makes a measurable difference in reducing our environmental footprint.
How Used Engine Oil Gets a Second Life
01
Collection and Testing
Used oil is collected from service stations, industrial facilities, and automotive centers. We test each batch to determine contamination levels and optimal processing methods.
02
Dehydration and Settling
Water and heavy contaminants are removed through heating and settling processes. This initial cleaning prepares the oil for advanced treatment.
03
Chemical Treatment
Advanced filtration and chemical processing remove remaining impurities, metals, and additives that have broken down during use.
04
Re-refining to Base Oil
The cleaned oil undergoes vacuum distillation and hydrotreating to produce high-quality base oil that meets industry standards for new lubricant production.
The remarkable thing about oil recycling is its efficiency. One gallon of used oil can be re-refined to produce nearly the same amount of high-quality base oil, requiring significantly less energy than producing new oil from crude petroleum.
Turning Old Tires Into Valuable Materials
The Tire Recycling Process
Tire recycling begins with collection and inspection to remove any remaining metal components like steel belts and beads. The tires are then shredded into smaller pieces through a series of progressively finer grinding operations.
Our advanced cryogenic grinding process freezes tire rubber to make it brittle, allowing for cleaner separation of rubber, steel, and fiber components. This produces high-quality crumb rubber with consistent particle sizes.

  • Rubberized asphalt for road construction
  • Industrial rubber products and mats
  • Alternative fuel for cement kilns
95% Recovery Rate
Nearly all tire materials can be recovered and repurposed through modern recycling processes
Energy Efficient
Uses 70% less energy than manufacturing new rubber products from raw materials
From Plastic Waste to PET Flakes: The Transformation Process
Collection & Sorting
Plastic bottles and containers are collected and sorted by resin type using advanced optical sorting technology
Cleaning & Preparation
Materials undergo intensive washing to remove labels, adhesives, and contaminants that could affect quality
Shredding & Flaking
Clean plastics are shredded into uniform PET flakes ready for manufacturing new products
PET flakes are incredibly versatile raw materials. They can be melted down and reformed into new bottles, spun into polyester fibers for clothing and carpeting, or molded into food packaging and industrial containers. This closed-loop recycling process significantly reduces the demand for virgin plastic production.

Quality Matters: Our PET flakes meet food-grade standards, making them suitable for direct contact applications like beverage bottles and food packaging.
The Technology Behind Modern Recycling Methods
Advanced Material Analysis
Spectroscopy and chemical analysis ensure optimal processing parameters for each material type. Real-time monitoring maintains consistent quality throughout the recycling process.
Automated Processing Systems
Computer-controlled machinery maximizes efficiency while minimizing contamination. Automated sorting and quality control systems ensure consistent output standards.
Environmental Controls
Closed-loop water systems and air filtration technology minimize environmental impact. Heat recovery systems improve energy efficiency across all operations.
Digital Tracking
Blockchain-based tracking systems monitor materials from collection through final product delivery, ensuring transparency and accountability in the recycling chain.
Environmental Benefits That Make a Real Difference
Reduced Carbon Footprint
Recycling used oil produces 85% fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to refining crude oil. Tire recycling prevents methane emissions from landfill decomposition.
Water Protection
Proper oil recycling prevents groundwater contamination. A single quart of used oil can pollute up to 250,000 gallons of water if improperly disposed.
Resource Conservation
Every ton of recycled plastic saves approximately 1.8 tons of CO₂ emissions and reduces the need for virgin plastic production by the same amount.
"Recycling isn't just about waste management—it's about creating a sustainable future where every material has value and purpose."
Economic Advantages for Communities and Businesses
Job Creation and Economic Growth
The recycling industry creates significantly more jobs per ton of material processed compared to traditional waste disposal. Our facilities support local employment in collection, processing, quality control, and logistics operations.
Communities benefit from reduced waste management costs and new revenue streams from recyclable materials. Businesses gain access to cost-effective raw materials while meeting sustainability goals.
